Joan Regan Garden

1. Retired nurse and avid gardener.
2. To compliment old blue stone cottage.
3. Parts of the garden date back a hundred years, but the area used now began life in the early 1960’s.
4. There are a lot of European type plants suited to the cooler climate.
5. Lately more native types of plants have been introduced, such as, small eucalypts.
6. There are many flowering plants for insects and dense large bushy plantings for small birds to nest in and tree hollows for larger birds.
7. In the early 1960’s the Dyson family started the current garden.
8. Figs from the old fig tree have been used in meals at a local cafe.
